Bruce Hatton-Retired Superintendent, Washington Community Schools

After teaching social studies and coaching for seven years, Bruce spent 20 years as a building administrator at the elementary, junior high and high school levels. In 2001, he became the assistant superintendent of Washington Community Schools and served as their superintendent from 2006-2012.  Retiring in 2012, he has worked as an administrative consultant for the North Gibson schools, Northeast Dubois schools and in 2016 as the interim superintendent at North Vermillion. As a graduate of Hanover College he received his Master’s degree from Indiana University, Ed. S. from Indiana State University and doctorate from Oakland City University. He and his wife Cindy, reside in Washington, Indiana.
