Steve Wittenauer was involved in public education for 37 years. He held positions as a teacher, elementary, middle and high school principal, assistant superintendent and superintendent. Wit retired as superintendent of the Benton Community School Corporation in December of 2007.

Wit along with Dr. Gilbert Crimmins started Administrator Assistance in January of 2008. The company started with 4 team members and has grown to include over 50 team members with over 1500 years of experience at all levels of public education.

Wit became the sole owner/manager of Administrator Assistance in June of 2023. Administrator Assistance has been developed to provide school corporations with affordable assessments, solutions, and guidance through the services of a network of successful professionals and administators.
