Dr. Betsy Biederstedt


Retired Elementary School Principal

Betsy Biederstedt has worked as an elementary school principal in both Franklin Community School Corporation and Carmel-Clay Schools.  Prior to being a building principal, she was an elementary gifted-talented classroom teacher and elementary assistant principal in the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township in Indianapolis, IN.  Dr. Biederstedt’s expertise areas include: data analysis to improve student achievement, curriculum refinement and staff evaluations. Community collaborations, management of grants and maintaining programming requirements are additional areas of proficiency for Betsy. Since her retirement from the public schools, she has become involved in numerous education and child-related volunteer organizations including:  The Children’s Museum Guild (President), Indiana Sports Corporation (Board Member), and Spring Mill Elementary School PTO (President).  She lives on the north side of Indianapolis with her husband and two elementary school children.
