Mrs. Jan Kaye


Retired Director of Special Services
Jan has spent 46 years in education as a teacher, school psychologist and administrator in three different school districts.  During the last 34 years she has worked for the Elwood Community School Corporation from which she retired as the Director of Special Services.  Responsibilities included the supervision and administration of special education, Title I, Title II, migrant education, district assessment and elementary curriculum.  She earned degrees from Indiana State University and Butler University.  Jan was recognized for her community involvement by being named Volunteer of the Year in 2011 by the United Way of Madison County.  In addition she was honored by the Madison County CASA in 2013 as their Volunteer of the Year.  Jan continues her community involvement as a member of the Board of Directors of the Madison County United Way and serves on the Early Childhood Committee of the Madison County Education Coalition.
