Mrs. Cathy Stephen-Miller

Cathy Stephen-Miller has been working in education for the last 38 years. She has served as a teacher, counselor, principal, director of guidance, and Assistant Superintendent for curriculum and personnel. She retired after being Superintendent in a small district in east central Indiana. Cathy is now serving as an educational consultant to Indiana school corporations. Cathy’s training in counseling has helped her become a facilitator and mediator in both the private sector and for schools. She has served on both sides of the bargaining table, having served as Teacher Association President and Discussion Chair as well as serving as negotiator in her roles as Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.

Cathy is licensed and has served in both elementary and secondary counseling and administration, has training in school finance, brain-based learning, curriculum and personnel, and serves as a presenter and facilitator on the Teacher Evaluation and Compensation model for schools. Cathy was chosen as 2010 District Superintendent of the Year and 2009 District School Business Official of the Year, 2010 Technology Teacher Advocate for the State of Indiana, and most recently received the Flame of Leadership in Education Award.
