Retired Superintendent

Dr. John Williams has served in a variety of teaching and administrative positions during his 43 year career in education. He first was an industrial arts teacher and coach in Indiana and Delaware. He began his administrative career as an assistant principal, moving then to a HS principal, next to assistant superintendent and for the past 21 years served as a superintendent in two different corporations. Most recently he completed a yearlong interim superintendent position. These experiences have been in large and small rural corporations as well as suburban corporations in central, western, northern and southeastern Indiana.

These positions granted him experiences that include dealing with growing student populations, declining populations as well as a variety of curriculum, budgetary and personnel challenges.

Currently he is enjoying retirement with his wife Debby, also a retired school administrator. They enjoy visiting there 4 adult children and 5 grandchildren in Denver, CO as well as Monticello and Fort Wayne, IN.
